The estate, the vineyards, the winery
We are located in the heart of the Piglio hills, an area of high and rolling slopes, enchanting districts, and landscapes in the province of Frosinone. Situated at the foot of Mount Scalambra and facing the Tyrrhenian Sea… welcome to Ciociaria, the historic heartland for the production of Cesanese del Piglio DOCG wines.
In 2002, a group of friends and families deeply connected to this land joined forces to found “Pileum.” Over the years, the winery has grown by utilizing modern, technologically advanced systems while continuing to produce elegant wines that honor the ancient winemaking traditions of Cesanese in its territory of origin.
This environment offers both inspiration and the certainty that great wines are born in the soil: the synthesis of our history is all around us and in every wine we make. Our philosophy is simple and rigorous: respect for the land, tradition, and history.
Sustainable roots, conscious choices
We are located in the heart of the Piglio hills, amidst historic districts and landscapes that tell the story of centuries of rural life. We are in Ciociaria, in the province of Frosinone, at the foot of Mount Scalambra, looking out towards the Tyrrhenian Sea: a land that has always spoken the language of wine.
Pileum was born here, from an authentic bond with the territory and the desire to honor its millennial vocation. From the very beginning, the winery chose an approach that combines innovation and respect for tradition, adopting modern systems to enhance a historic grape variety.
Each bottle expresses the richness of this place, the care in cultivation, and the love for our identity. Our philosophy is simple yet profound: to work in harmony with the land, guarding its history and transforming it into emotion through wine.
Pileum, the Restaurant
In 2022, Pileum opened a new chapter: the restaurant—a project born from the same spirit that drives our winery and vineyards. Respect for the land, tradition, and seasonality continues to guide every choice, even in the kitchen.
Our menu is a sensory journey that celebrates local produce and tells the story of our territory through simple, refined dishes full of identity. Ciocian cured meats and cheeses, homemade pasta, soups, garden vegetables, and local meats alternate with gourmet offerings, all designed to enhance our DOCG and IGT wines.
Each course is created to pair perfectly with one of our labels, offering a complete experience of flavor and harmony.
