A shared dream, a project that grows
Pileum was born from the dream of a group of professionals, entrepreneurs, and wine enthusiasts deeply connected to their land. The goal was clear from the start: to restore value to Cesanese del Piglio, the wine of memory, an authentic expression of the territory and an integral part of local culture. Faced with the gradual disappearance of vineyards from the landscapes of Piglio, the response was concrete: unite forces to create a modern reality that combines passion, expertise, and vision. In 2002, it all began on a blank page with just over 2 hectares of vineyards. Today, after more than twenty years of dedicated work, the vineyard area has grown to 18 hectares, and in the best vintages, production approaches 100,000 bottles. A journey of growth driven by the enthusiasm and determination of a team that transformed an idea into a solid reality, contributing to the revival of local viticulture.

We are in the heart of the hills of Piglio, among historic districts and landscapes that tell centuries of rural life. In Ciociaria, in the province of Frosinone, at the foot of Monte Scalambra, with a view toward the Tyrrhenian Sea, this is land that has always spoken the language of wine.Here, Pileum was born from an authentic bond with the territory and a desire to honor its millennial vocation. From the beginning, the winery adopted an approach that blends innovation with respect for tradition, using modern techniques to enhance a historic grape variety. Every bottle expresses the richness of this land, the care in cultivation, and the love for its identity. Our philosophy is simple: work in harmony with the land, preserve its history, and transform it into emotion through wine.
